Professional Expertise Builds Trust: Brother Industries Visits KANOU Precision for Factory Review and Technical Exchange

On May 8, 2026, Purchasing Manager M and Design Supervisor H from Brother Industries, Ltd. visited Dongguan KANOU Precision Technology Co., Ltd. for an on-site factory review and business exchange.

This visit was part of Brother Industries’ important supplier evaluation activities as the company accelerates the expansion of its industrial printing business. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the processing technology, welding process, and mass production cooperation for key precision components used in printer heads. KANOU Precision’s General Manager Yoshihara, Japanese technical consultant, and related technical and business teams accompanied the customer throughout the visit.

KANOU Precision

As a globally recognized comprehensive manufacturing company, Brother Industries has been actively expanding its presence in the industrial printing field in recent years. In 2016, Brother acquired Domino, an industrial printing equipment manufacturer based in Cambridge, UK. By combining Brother’s self-developed printhead technology with Domino’s equipment manufacturing capabilities, the company has achieved strong synergy and can meet the needs of high-speed, high-resolution printing applications such as PET bottles and food packaging.

In February 2026, Brother Industries further strengthened its industrial printing business by acquiring Mutoh Holdings for 35 billion yen. Brother is now focusing on industrial printer business development. Its Domino series printing equipment may use up to 80 printheads per machine, placing extremely high requirements on the quality, airtightness, and durability of the precision components involved in this project.

In-Depth Technical Exchange Focused on Welding and Precision Machining

During the meeting, both parties conducted detailed technical discussions on stainless steel welded components and thin aluminum alloy precision structural parts. Brother Industries set strict requirements for welding deformation control.

The component is an important structural part used in industrial printing equipment. Since no secondary machining is allowed after welding, precise laser welding process parameters are required to ensure the flatness of the aluminum alloy part after welding while maintaining reliable sealing performance.

Brother Industries also specified technical requirements such as leak test pressure and anodizing film thickness. In addition, the customer clearly required that material suppliers and material grades remain consistent from prototype trial production to mass production, in order to ensure stable compatibility between the materials and UV ink.

Brother Industries Visit

KANOU Precision’s technical team communicated thoroughly with the customer regarding material selection, sheet thickness tolerance, anti-deformation fixtures, and other key process details.

KANOU Precision has accumulated extensive experience in precision CNC machining, five-axis machining, and welding structure process control. The company is able to provide one-stop services from DFM analysis during the design stage to mass production delivery.

KANOU Precision is equipped with advanced equipment such as five-axis CNC machining centers and slow wire-cut EDM machines, with machining accuracy reaching ±0.001 mm. In the field of welded structural components, KANOU effectively controls welding deformation through anti-deformation fixtures and optimized welding process parameters, meeting the customer’s strict requirements for 0.05 mm flatness and seamless sealing performance. These capabilities were important factors behind Brother Industries’ decision to entrust KANOU Precision with the prototype evaluation project.

Factory Tour and Quality Management System Recognized by the Customer

The Brother Industries team visited KANOU Precision’s production workshop and quality inspection area, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s management system, machining equipment, process flow, and quality management system.

General Manager Yoshihara introduced KANOU Precision’s strict implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems, as well as the company’s long-term delivery pass rate of over 99%.

After the factory tour, Purchasing Manager M from Brother Industries commented that, based on the on-site review, KANOU Precision’s manufacturing capability and quality control level were satisfactory, and expressed confidence in future cooperation.

Deepening Cooperation and Expanding Opportunities in Industrial Printing

After three and a half hours of in-depth communication, the customer confirmed on-site that KANOU Precision would be entrusted with prototype production and subsequent mass production evaluation.

Brother Industries also stated that, before working with KANOU Precision, the company had conducted multiple rounds of trial production with domestic Japanese manufacturers before reaching the required standards. In the next stage, Brother Industries will conduct factory diagnostics and audits of production suppliers, with a focus on yield rate and quality, in order to further strengthen and expand its component supply system in the industrial printing field.

KANOU Precision has always upheld the service philosophy of “Safety, Stability, and Peace of Mind.” With its strengths in high flexibility, high precision, and fast response, the company continues to serve the global precision manufacturing industry.

Looking ahead, KANOU Precision will continue to focus on the research, development, and production of precision components, adhere to micron-level manufacturing standards, and continuously improve its production processes and inspection systems. The company is committed to providing stable and high-precision products for global high-end customers, including Brother Industries, and becoming a trusted long-term strategic partner for precision components.
